City Centre - Open as follows:
Monday, Tuesday, and Friday - 9.30am to 12.30pm (drop-in service)
Please note that this service, like others across the city, is in great demand.
Queuing at this office begins early, and whilst we help 4000 clients a year at this office (about 30 new clients every drop in session), we are often unable to see all the clients that approach us for help on the same day.
We are reviewing our service to provide better access to those unable to queue. To help avoid congestion, we suggest you approach your nearest Bureau, and arrive within the first hour of service.
Wednesday - appointments only
For an appointment please call into our drop-in service where we will quickly assess your enquiry to see if you can obtain free, reliable, advice from elsewhere.
About a third of our clients are helped in this way. Other clients we may help with relevant information, or where more detailed work is needed you may be invited to wait for a longer more in depth discussion.
At: Westminster Buildings, 31 New York Street, Leeds, LS2 7DT

Telephone information service
Telephone: 0844 477 4788. This is a 24 hour recorded information service, providing recorded information on a range of enquiries.
Personal advice is not normally available on this line as we have temporarily diverted our volunteer advisers to provide face to face services.
Minicom users please call 0113 281 6749 and leave a message.
From 1 April 2008 our public telephone number will change from 0870 120 2450 to 0844 477 4788
Callers will be charged at the lower rate of 5 pence per minute, rather than the 8ppm that applied to the 0870 number.
The 0844 and the 0870 numbers will both run for 3 months. From 1 July
2008 the 0870 number will be discontinued but there will be a referral message to tell callers of the change of number that will remain on for
at least 6 months.
The service will still be managed by QCall and will still provide a recorded information service.
Home visits advice service
If you are unable to get to our bureaux, then we will come to you. Please write to any of the bureaux for further details. This service is for people who are housebound and their principal carers.
